Lighting parameters-How to choose lighting fixtures

1.1. Illumination

Illuminance is the luminous flux, which is the brightness of light. This is an index that can be intuitively perceived by the human eye, so it is also the most concerned factor for most people when choosing a light, whether the light is bright enough.

When selecting lights, you can understand the luminous flux, not just the power, because the light efficiency of different lights varies greatly, either the power is high or the light is on.

1.2. Color temperature

Color temperature refers to the color of light. Commonly used color temperatures include white light, yellow light, etc., and more detailed classifications include warm white light, warm yellow light, cool white light, natural white, and so on.

Light with low color temperature is warm light, not too dazzling, while light with high color temperature is cooler light. In addition to personal preferences, it is also necessary to consider the atmosphere of different rooms when choosing for home use.

Different color temperatures of light will make the feeling of home completely different.

1.3. Color rendering index

Simply put, it refers to the color quality presented to the visual perception by an object when illuminated. A light source with a broad spectral composition can provide better color rendering quality. The closer the color rendering index is to 100, the higher the degree of color reproduction of the object, and the best color rendering. Of course, this does not mean that the higher the color rendering index of household lamps, the better. It is still necessary to distinguish according to the different lighting needs of different areas. For example, low color light can make an object's red color more vivid, while high color light can give the object a cool and bright feeling, and medium color light can make blue reflect a cool feeling.

When selecting lighting, these three lighting parameters cannot be viewed solely based on a single data, as they will have mutual influence. In addition, when selecting lighting fixtures based on data, it is best to go to a physical store to experience it, because the impact of lighting on people varies from person to person, and choosing the one that feels most comfortable is the best.
